Smoky paprika baked pork chops

  • 4 lean loin pork chops
  • 2 tbsp smoked sweet paprika
  • 1 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 400g can chopped tomatoes
  • 300ml passata
  • 2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 cooking apple, peeled and diced


Smoky paprika baked pork chops: a simple and tasty dish with tender meat and a spicy tomato sauce, served with rice and salad.

  1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC / 160ºC fan / Gas 4.
  2. Line a roasting tin with a double layer of foil.
  3. Mix together the paprika, sugar, tomatoes, passata, chilli powder and apple. Pour this mixture into the tin; add the chops and coat in the sauce.
  4. Cook for about 45-60 minutes until the meat is tender and soft.
  5. Serve the chops with steamed mixed rice, smoky sauce and seasonal salad leaves.
