Revamped Put Your Best Sausage Forward returns for 2024

Now in its sixth year, Porc Blasus invites its members to enter our annual competition to find the nation’s best sausage!

The competition has a slightly different feel for 2024, with it being held later in the year at the Royal Welsh Winter Fair. We’ve also revamped the format to include two different prize categories: ‘Best Traditional Pork Sausage of the Year’ and ‘Best Christmas Pork Sausage of the Year’. You may enter one or both categories, although only one entry is permitted per category.

In addition to all the glory – and the trophy! – we will also come out and film a special case study with the two winning producers. To enter, all you have to do is fill in your details by following the link below, ahead of sending us the sausages for the judging. The form will ask you to list the ingredients of your sausage and very briefly outline why you think it should win.

The deadline for the written entries (the form should take no more than 5 minutes) is Monday 21 October 2024. A link to the competition form can be found here.
