Smoky Paprika Baked Porc Chops

Serves: 4 | Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cooking Time: 45 minutes


  • 4 lean loin porc chops
  • 30ml (2 tbsp) smoked sweet paprika
  • 15ml (1 tbsp) light brown sugar
  • 400g can chopped tomatoes
  • 300ml (½ pt) passata
  • 10ml (2 tsp) chilli powder
  • 1 cooking apple, peeled and diced


  1. Preheat the oven to Gas 4/180ºC/350ºF.
  2. Line a roasting pan with double layer of foil.
  3. Mix together paprika, sugar, tomatoes, passata, chilli powder and apple. Pour this mixture into the pan. Add the chops and coat in the sauce.
  4. Cook for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, until meat is tender and soft.
  5. Serve with steamed mixed rices, smoky sauce and seasonal salad leaves.
