Celebrate National Sausage Week with some Porky Tails
This week it’s National Sausage Week and what better way to celebrate than with a fun and simple recipe to enjoy with the kids! Our Porky Tails reimagine the traditional bangers and mash to create a fun and nutritious meal for all the family.
Who needs to eat whole, when you can split, twist and dip your way to sausage heaven?! This recipe combines a quick 5 minute boil with a twisted sausage on a stick bake that’s seasoned to perfection and served with the perfect mash and pea accompaniment.

20 minute bake
Ingredients
6 x Pork sausages
Flour
2 x Eggs
Breadcrumbs
2tbsMixed Herbs
To serve

Method
In a saucepan, bring water to boil.
Add 6 pork sausages, and boil for 5-10 minutes
Remove sausages from boiling water, and skewer each sausage.
With a sharp knife, run around the sausage in a spiral down the length of the sausage
Pull the sausage along the full length of the skewer.
Coat each pork sausage with flour, egg, and breadcrumbs.
Place on a baking tray, and bake at 200°C for 20 minutes
Serve with mashed potatoes, peas, and your favourite dipping sauce.
